I meant to do this post months ago, but hey better late than never, right? I wanted to share more of the hidden gems that are in my city. We have a lot of great restaurants in Baltimore so let’s get into a few of the place that I tried out last year.
Ekiben is an Asian fusion restaurant located in Fells Point. Their spicy pork buns are to die for. They have tons of other stuff on their menu such as bowls, vegetarian and gluten free food choices. In the picture below you can see how perfect the bun is.
Bentley’s is a restaurant, bar and lounge located in the Midtown area. I was excited to try out this upscale black owned restaurant. It was pretty cool. When I went there my boyfriend and I both got the Seaside. I also got a strawberry hennessy cocktail, which was really good. Pictured below the cocktail and the entree, which looks a bit messy, but that was how they served it (lol).
Broadway Market has been revamped and it is now home to some of the best eateries in the Fell’s Point area.
- Old Boy serves authentic Korean food, but my favorite thing about this place is their cocktails. Their drinks taste as good as they look. I got the Hongdo Island drink sweetened without sesame (the drink with the orange flower) and my boyfriend got the Yakult Fizz (the drink with the dark purple flower).
- Thai Street, which is right next door to Old Boy has the best crab fried rice. In the picture below you can that in come in one big mound with a good amount of crab meat.
Taharka Brothers Ice Cream has nice and creamy snickerdoodle ice cream. It even had bits of the cookie in it. You can see it in the picture below.
Kippo Ramen has really yummy ramen. Kippo is located directly across the street from Broadway Market in the Fells Point area. I’ve gotten food from here a couple times. My favorites are the chicken and pork ramen with the spicy oil. Both are pictured below.
Be.bim Korean BBQ is located inside of R. House. R. House is located in the Remington area and it is considered a launchpad for food as well as bringing the community together. It’s a really cool modern space suitable for all ages. Pictured below is the bowl I got with spicy BBQ chicken, eggplant, scallions, broccoli, and kimchi.
Also, located in R. House is a restaurant called BRD. BRD serves chicken sandwiches and wings. Pictured below is the Jamaican Jerk sandwich paired with a huge portion of fries.
Last but not least is Johnny Rad’s Pizzeria Tavern which is located in between Canton and the Patterson Park area. It has a pretty cool edgy bar feel to it. The pizza is really good. Pictured below is The Pepe Martinez pizza.
